Zco is One of More Than 140 Small Businesses in NH That Have Endorsed Maggie Hassan
Nashua, NH – Senator Maggie Hassan visited an app development company, Zco Corporation, in Nashua yesterday after being endorsed by more than 140 small businesses in New Hampshire. Zco works to develop high performance custom software, and during the Senator’s visit, the owner John Olapurath showed Senator Hassan the company’s newest app.
“Zco Corporation is on the cutting edge of app development – helping to move our state into the future,” said Senator Hassan. “I fought to double the research and development tax credit both as Governor and in the Senate because I know how important it is for businesses like Zco to have the support that they need to keep innovating.”
Senator Hassan is fighting to support small businesses in New Hampshire and across the country. In the last year, she has worked to pass legislation – that is now law – to provide small businesses with the resources that they need to succeed in the 21st century innovation economy, including:
The Inflation Reduction Act, which includes Senator Hassan’s bipartisan measure to double the federal research and development tax credit for small business and startups, building on her work as Governor to double New Hampshire’s research and development tax credit and extend it permanently.
The bipartisan innovation and competition bill, which will bring down costs, help the United States outcompete countries like China, invest in American research and manufacturing, and expand workforce development for technology and manufacturing fields. Senator Hassan joined a bipartisan group of colleagues to first introduce this critical legislation.
The bipartisan infrastructure law, which Senator Hassan helped negotiate, is helping New Hampshire businesses thrive by expanding high-speed internet to every community in the state and improving our roads, bridges, and ports so that businesses can move their goods more efficiently.
