Yesterday, Senator Maggie Hassan visited Big Day Brewing in Gorham, where she discussed how she is fighting to get results on important priorities for the North Country and New Hampshire.
“Small businesses like Big Day Brewing are not only critical parts of Gorham’s economy, they make our community and state more vibrant. I will continue working to deliver results for the North Country and ensure that we build an economy that works for every Granite Stater,” said Senator Maggie Hassan.
“It was great to welcome Senator Hassan to Big Day Brewing. I’m grateful for her work to support small businesses and trail building projects through the Northern Border Regional Commission, which has a direct positive impact in Gorham” said Jason Hunter, owner of Big Day Brewing.
“Senator Hassan is a champion for small businesses that drive the North Country’s economy. Senator Hassan has always been a fighter for the North Country, and I look forward to continuing to partner with her to keep our region strong,” said Representative Edith Tucker.
Senator Maggie Hassan has a long record of standing up for northern New Hampshire. The Senator fought to save the Northern Border Regional Commission, which provides critical investments to strengthen the economy in northern New Hampshire by supporting small businesses and investing in revitalization projects. Senator Hassan was also a key negotiator for the bipartisan infrastructure law, which will provide high-speed internet access to every corner of the state, including at least $100 million to expand high-speed internet to the most hard to reach areas. Senator Hassan has also successfully pushed to cut taxes for Granite State businesses — including by doubling the research and development tax credit. Senator Hassan also led the successful push to permanently extend craft beverage tax cuts.
